Dr. Shenara Musthaq is a board-certified dermatologist certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Musthaq completed her internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY, and her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine.
During medical school, Dr. Musthaq completed a dermatology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where her research focused on skin cancer screening and non-invasive imaging techniques used to detect melanoma and monitor treatment response. She contributed to peer-reviewed publications, national presentations, and authored a textbook chapter on non-invasive imaging for skin cancer detection. Prior to medical school, she spent a year conducting cancer clinical trials at The James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Musthaq treats a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer, and also offers cosmetic dermatology services such as lasers, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, PRP therapy, and chemical peels. She has extensive training in treating patients of all ages, with additional experience in skin of color and pediatric dermatology.
Dr. Musthaq grew up in Philadelphia and attended Emory University in Atlanta for her undergraduate studies. She enjoys playing tennis and cooking in her free time.
