Rashes are patches of skin that are abnormal in color or texture and can look bumpy, scaly, or swollen. Caused by psychological and environmental factors, they can bring about itchiness or pain.
What is it?
Altered skin color, texture, or sensation, often coupled with irritation or swelling, are indicative of skin rashes. These can be triggered by a multitude of psychological aspects such as depression, anxiety, fear, or a traumatic event, as well as environmental elements like air pollution, foodborne carcinogens, pesticides, lead exposure, or even extended computer screen use. Skin rashes can also stem from various conditions including chickenpox, contact dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, ringworm and shingles. Lately, a few patients have reported rashes linked to coronavirus infection.
